When Jesus casts out a mute demon from a man, some people make a strange accusation against him. They accuse him of casting out demons by Beelzebub, the ruler of demons. Most reasonably Jesus answers them.
I have heard an expression in our country like: "turning a sheep into a dog."
Only if the sheep is turned into a dog can it be turned into a mad-dog (one with rabbis). Only if it is turned into a mad-dog can it be lynched to death, and the reality is that only in that case the lynching can be justified.
Demonizing others is something that people have been doing all the time. We can't justify it just because people have been doing it. It is wrong. Sometime or other we too must have engaged in acts of demonizing others.
If it is there, every one of us has these demonic influences. When we begin to target someone by saying that they are devilish, we should remember - the finger we are pointing with is certainly not of God. The devil and all his gang must be within ourselves!
