It's the Solemnity of all the Saints.
Yahweh is the name of God in the Old Testament. The etymology and other things have been discussed before. The people of the Old Testament understood the holy name Yahweh as the one who is; the one who is in oneself; the one who is there; one who is everywhere.
When interpreted, the meaning becomes that God is everywhere, God is in himself, God is in himself- and so on.
When this is understood rightly, the 'I' in me becomes a holy space and a holy being. If we start with ourselves, we will realize that wherever we are God/the divine is. Then all others also become the living presence of God. If anyone thinks that there is no presence of God in someone or that what is there in someone is not the presence of God, then s/he falls short of the first premise.
Any people can think that they are beloved to God, and there's nothing wrong with that. But when they say that only they are the beloved of God, they have put God in a box.
Perhaps saying that 'God loves other people too; may be even more than you people' - was what in most likelihood resulted in the elimination of Jesus!
So what is holiness?
We can say that holiness is believing in Yahweh. That means, believing that God is in himself; in all; wherever we are. Therefore holiness is believing that God is in oneself; in everyone, and in the sacred earth we tread on, and acting accordingly.
"from him and through him and for him are all things" (Rom. 11:36).
The same is the understanding of the New Testament. In the New Testament, Christ is Emmanuel - God with us. Christ came to eliminate divisions. To unify the Jews and the Gentiles. "In him (Christ) the whole house is held together" (Eph. 2:21).
The saying "God is everywhere and in all" is the same as saying "Christ is all and in all" in reference to Christ.
Therefore, You, your fellow being, and the ground on which you stand are Holy!
Kiss respectfully!
