Have written this before. But I felt like writing again. As the number of vloggers and YouTubers increases, many people are uploading videos like "Have you seen the present look of actress _____?".
Of course, most people must have changed a lot over time, especially from their looks at their teenage or youth. Some may work out a lot and follow strictly controlled diet in their lives to maintain their figure and looks. They are often acclaimed as evergreen stars. Such contents are created seemingly with the intention of encouraging regular exercise and strict diets in life. But the ideology behind it seems to be very much negative.
Youthfulness is acceptable; old age is not.
Perfect figure is acceptable; ordinariness is not.
External beauty is acceptable; loss of it is not.
Muscularity is acceptable; weakness is not: and so on.
Not only that, but such videos sets the benchmark for the society.
There is also the problem of approaching life only partially, rather than as a comprehensive whole.
A person contributes a lot to the earth and the society through hir life. Through the work they have done; through the new lives they have nurtured; through the good they have gifted to the earth; through the many people they have strengthened through their love. There is also a big problem that such great contributions are seen without any value.
However, the fundamental problem is something bigger. The core problem with such positions is that they despise life, its diverse journeys to arrive at love, and the priceless glory of the soul that a person acquires by spending hir assets, health and life.
In all the spiritual traditions of the world, it is seen that simplicity, nonposession of wealth, advancement in age, wornout health, lack of external charm are given even more respect. On the contrary, these days, not only is that respect not given, but it also seems that disrespect is rendered
Probably it is the result of stripping the society of its inherent divinity- in other words, the effect of secularization. This is a very unhappy sign.
Beyond what is seen we should believe in the unseen and acknowledge the glory and honor it.
We should bow to the soul, to life.
Fatigue is love; frailty is love; old age is love. Disease is love. Death is love.
O love, walking unto thee have these feet grown old and weak; got torn and cracked!
With immance respect we should bow down before them with. Reverently kiss them!
