He replaced the old law of don'ts with a new law of love: He was the new law.
He replaced the old way of divisions with a new way of inclusion: He was the new way.
He replaced the old spirituality of ritualism with a new spirituality of mercy: He was the new spirituality.
He replaced the old temple of animal sacrifices with a new house of prayer: He was the new temple.
He replaced the worship through sacrificing of animals for oneself with sacrificing of oneself for others: He was the new sacrificial animal.
The animal sacrifices he replaced with the sacrifice of his own life, and all the rituals he replaced with the breaking and sharing of bread for others.
The spiritual food that enable the disciples inspired, prepared, and strengthened for the love that removes boundaries, for inclusiveness that excludes no one, for mercy that is to be shown even to the wicked, for sharing of one's bread all the needy, for envisioning the world, and for the self-sacrifice for the sake of others - is the Eucharist.
